Encasa is a nice casual eatery with tartan table cloth and homely decore. They have mostly tapas and wood fired pizzas on the menu. A winner for most people. A good friend of mine recently became engaged so we caught up over tapas at Encasa. We drink a bit of sangria to celebrate and order some delicious food. Encasa is a favourite for the both of us and we accidently over order.
I order a Chorizo a la Plancha (which means cooked on a metal plate) for $12.50. It's got a slight hint of spice but is still enjoyable to eat. A must order is the Bravas which is fried potato with aioli and spicy tomato salsa ($11.50, below). It's such a simple dish but the flavours and textures are an amazing combination. This is a definite recommend.
The meat balls "Albondigas" in almond sauce ($14.00, above) were quite large in a tomato sauce. I couldn't quite taste any almond flavours but still enjoyed the dish regardless. In addition to the tapas, I also ordered the Atlantico wood fired pizza which is essentially a medley of seafood including prawns, fish, calamari, mussels with green mojo sauce ($20, below). It was a nice pizza and the crust is nice and crispy.
