Inlakesh Living Foods, Macquarie Park

I have walked past Inlakesh living foods and casually strolled through their healthy good food store a few times. I decide to check out their breakfast menu as I am a local. 

There's always a busy flow of people sitting at InLakesh Living Foods with coffees and food. InLakesh living foods is located in Macquarie Centre, right near Coles. As it's particularly hot this day, I don't mind sitting in the air conditioning in this cafe.

I order at the counter and collect a number.  I must have a chai latte and this kicks off breakfast for me. Then our two breakfast dishes come out. First off there's the spiced babana pancakes ($16.50). The sweet pancake is topped off with banana, coconut yoghurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, candied pumpkin seeds and homemade redcurrant jam.

MW enjoys this breakfast as all the elements come together really well but it's quite different to your every day pancakes. I personally like this dish although it's quite sweet and I was after a more savoury dish on this particular morning.

The savoury dish that I ordered was the Smoked Ocean Trout and Zucchini Fritters ($17.50). The dish is served up with dill, gherkin and egg salad, avo salsa, alfalfa, tahini on sourdough. I really enjoy the ocean trout with the avo salsa - especially with the zucchini fritter.

I'm not a massive fan of egg salad where the egg is boiled then mashed up but it seems to work in this dish. There's quite a bit of egg and I don't end up finishing eating all the egg. The zucchini fritters are quite crunchy and flat but work very well with the dish. 

Summary: A nice place to drop by for unique breakfast dishes before you do your shopping in Macquarie Centre. It's a relatively small venue but worth checking out.
