North Bondi RSL, North Bondi

North Bondi RSL is well positioned with gorgeous beach and ocean views. MW and I head there just on the border of breakfast and lunch on a Sunday afternoon. North Bondi has a breakfast menu served until 12pm and then the lunch menu is available from 12pm onwards.

There's a gorgeous view of the beach and the ocean which you won't be able to resist looking at. This calls for a drink! As I arrive I order a champagne with orange juice and MW goes for a beer. What a view.

There's lots of variety on the menu and something for everyone. MW and I order a nice variety starting off with the Chicken and Mango Salad ($18.50). The salad also has cannelli beans, snowpea sprouts, cucumber, mesclen and orange and lime dressing. The salad has a generous amount of chicken and the mango adds a nice sweet element to the dish. A great dish for Spring and Summer weather.

There's also an entree of Spanish Prawns ($15) in a spicy tomato and garlic sauce with bread and salad. The King Prawns are massive and there's a decent portion. The bread dips in well with the sauce and the salad adds for a refreshing element.  A nice seafood dish for any prawn lover.

The mark of any good RSL is how well they do their fish and chips and pizza. I order the Grilled John Dory Fillet ($26) which is served up lemon oil and mash / veg or chips and salad. I definitely go for the chips and salad. The fish is well cooked and enjoyable to eat. It definitely meets the mark for a good RSL fish and chips.

The highlight for me is the pizza - the Prosciutto Pizza ($22).  It's served up with porcini, rocket, mushrooms and truffle oil. The pizza is perfection with a thin base with a delicious flavour combination of mushroom, truffle oil and proscuitto. Delicious and highly recommended.

Summary: If you're looking for a casual meal full of pub favourites - definitely check out North Bondi RSL. Nothing beats a few drinks, good food and a great view.
