Niji Sushi Bar, Kingsford

Niji Sushi Bar is a nice venue for a casual lunch. Based on the main street of Anzac Parade, Niji Sushi Bar has a lot of competition from other Asian eateries.  There is a large Sushi Train that runs through the restaurant. The sushi plates range from $3 to $6 which is a reasonable range and the produce is fresh.

A deluxe plate ($6, above) is the seared salmon and scallop roll. It's fresh, delicious and was enjoyed in two very quick bitefuls. The $5 purple plate of tempura prawn roll (below) has a nice crunch with crumbed prawn and cucumber.

Regular sushi train favourites such as the salmon avocado ($5, above) and the unagi ($5, eel below) met my expectations. Fresh, well put together and delicious! A new and more emerging dish seems to be the Duck Nigiri (below at $4,5) which was enjoyed.

All the other dishes I tried were nice, from grilled salmon to the fried chicken. Sushi train is a great experience but can add up quickly! Niji Sushi has good variety and earns its $72% like rate

 I would also strongly suggest you try the dessert platter. For $20, you can enjoy chocolate fondant, creme brulee, ice cream and pudding! All prepared very well and brought a nice spice of variety into the realm of dessert.

Wok On Inn, The Rocks, Sydney

Wok On Inn is a nice casual eatery in the rocks. There's generally some live music playing in the forecourt so it's quite therapeutic eating noodles while chilling out in the beautiful stone lined buildings in the rocks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The pad thai ($11ish) was nice, a mix of sweet and savoury textures which was easy to eat. It's one of their signature dishes. You will find egg, bean sprouts and crushed peanuts throughout the beautiful sweet/salty noodles.                                                                                                                                                                                              They also run a monthly competition if you have a lot of instagram friends.
