A SURPRISINGLY LOVELY MEAL. LOVELY STAFF. George's Mediterranean Bar and Grill is located on King St Wharf and has a great view
George's Mediterranean Bar is a Modern Australian and Greek restaurant. I'm enjoying a casual drink as I look at the view on a Friday evening. All the party go-ers are out and about and drinking along the bars nearby. The staff seem really friendly and check up regularly on everything which is nice.
Below is the Kretopita which is a braised goat with rosemary wrapped in filo and sesame seeds ($15.50).
If you order the mussels ($24.50, below) then you have the option of choosing the sauce. I opt for the saffron, white wine, garlic, chilli and parsley. The other options of 2. tomato, spicy salami, orzo and parsley and 3. Broccolini, spring onion, chilli and garlic sounds interesting as well.
The hand cut chips are $13.50 (below).
The pan roast pork cutlet was amazing with crispy crackling, fennel, orange and watercress ($29.50, below and top photo).
Cons: I thought the entree of Kretopita was tasty but a bit dear for 3 pieces, tasty but dear.
