I haven't had the pleasure of going to Mauritius but it's certainly on my holiday list. Phoenix Beer their national beer so until I reach Mauritius shores, this is a small way to experience Mauritius.
I often imagine picturesque clear waters, sunny shores and a sense of tranquility when I think of Mauritius. I think about sitting on the sand under an umbrella enjoying a few drinks! My friend who is from Mauritius says it's much cheaper in her native land but at least you can still access this in Australia.
I've been told that the Mauritius number one beer is Phoenix beer and has won a series of awards including 24 Monde Selection awards. Phoenix Beer has also won 2 Australian International Beer awards.
Phoenix is a crisp lager beer and is light and golden with malty, subtle sweet tones. I have a few beers with Friday night dinner with my bae. <3
I'm no beer expert but I quite like a bit of beer with my thai food. There's nothing better than a pad thai with a phoenix beer. So drink responsibly my beer loving friends.
Weekend Food Escapes was gifted a sample to review Phoenix Beer by Cardinal Spin. All words, photos and opinions are my own.

ReplyDeleteattracts the grossest smells?!!? I sprayed the boots and shoes, let them dry overnight and then took a big whiff the next morning. Nothing. Meaning - no smell, no overpowering fragrance. Just neutral air. The Fuego Multiplier Review
