Eternity Cafe, Sydney CBD

I've often walked past Eternity Cafe and have noticed it has been renovated with new owners. Eternity cafe is located just nearby Town Hall Station in Town Hall Square. I am invited with a group of foodies to check out their new menu. The menu is quite extensive and I am eager to try their food.

You may be slightly distracted by the water feature towards the back. The sound from the water is quite soothing and you may almost forget you are in the middle of the busy city. I look through the the menu and patiently wait for the food to arrive.

The first dish that comes out that I sample is the Chia Pudding ($18). I think this is the prettiest Chia Pudding I've ever seen! It's served up in a tilted glass bowl and is filled with mango coconut chia pudding, almond milk, macadamia crumble, sorbet, berries and seasonal fruit. I am instantly drawn to the bright purple dragon fruit. The other foodies comment on how much effort has been put into the dish and would rate this as high value. The mango and the fruit adds the sweetness to the chia pudding. I love this dish.

For something more savoury, you could order the Tumeric Corn Fritters ($19) which is served with avo, spinach, relish salsa, tagine and poached eggs. I personally have a weakness for corn fritters. I enjoy the corn fritters with the creamy avocado and beetroot spread. There are also crushed wasabi peas to the side which add to a crunchy texture. 

The other foodies are now all focused on the next dish which is the Blue Swimmer Crab Benny ($26). The egg benedict with sriracha hollandaise, spinach, fresh blue swimmer crab, with poached eggs in a croissant. The delicious crab is well complemented with the smooth, spicy hollandaise sauce. A few of the foodies say this is their favourite dish!

I also enjoyed the Red Velvet Hot Cake ($26) which is served with canadian maple, seasonal fruits, magnum ice cream, cream and is topped with icing sugar. The hotcakes are light, fluffy and are easily complemented by the maple, magnum ice cream and fruit. It's quite a sweet dish so perhaps is best shared. For a really imaginative dish and my favourite dish - I recommend ordering the Edible Garden ($22) which comes out looking like a pot plant. This dish has a vanilla bean panna cotta with strawberries and other seasonal fruit with oreo soil and chocolate rocks. This is my favourite dish because the panna cotta is absolutely delicous but also I really enjoyed the theatre of this dish with the soil and chocolate rocks. I loved it!

Summary: Overall, I really enjoyed the dishes at Eternity Cafe. I'd definitely recommend the food here not only for the tasty factor but the presentation is very artistic and will be sure to indulge multiple senses. My favourite dish was the Edible Garden but I also recommend the other breakfast dishes and lunch dishes too.
