Moss Brothers, Kareela

I must confess, I rarely venture out down south but as I've been house hunting - I'm exploring new territory in Sydney. On a particularly warm day, Matt and I take a minor brunch break from house hunting and end up in a little shopping complex in Kareela. We end up at Moss Brothers.

I've been to Sushi Rio many a time on Sussex st. So when my friend suggested we go to the Westfield one, I was eager to see whether this venue was as good as the Sussex one. I love a good sushi train.

Nazimi, Sydney CBD

Nazimi is a hole in the wall Japanese restaurant in the Sydney CBD right nearby Town Hall. I've been here a few times and it's been a reliable Japanese meal. Matt and I head here for a casual dinner on Friday night. It's quite busy but we're able to get a table.

Basket Brothers, Parramatta

Matt and I head into North Parramatta for some brunch at Basket Brothers. I love a good brunch, particularly on a Sunday. It's quite busy as I walk in but we manage to get a table inside. The decore at Basket Brothers is modern and clean. I notice the big board that says Basket Brothers and the hanging hipster lights.

Hide and Seek Cafe, Leichhardt - NOW CLOSED

Hide and Seek Cafe is located in Leichhardt and has a simple menu. We all need a bit more simplicity in this complex world. The breakfast menu is served all day which is great if you like a good sleep in.

Ho Jiak, Haymarket

I'm a massive fan of Malaysian food and Ho Jiak in Strathfield so when I heard they were opening up another store in the city, I was very happy.   Head Chef, Junda inspired by his Grandma knows that fresh ingredients and bold flavours are the key to continuing her legacy.  The City store has a different menu though so here's the low down on what to order.

La Reina, Queen of Venezuelan Arepas, Newtown

Have you tried an Arepas before? The guys at the Australian Good Food Guide facilitated an introduction to this new venue. It's one of Venezuela's signature dishes when it comes to street food. Now I must confess that I am no expert when it comes to Venezuelan cuisine but I was eager to check it out. Matt also loves trying new things. Are you food adventurous?

2017 has been an EPIC year and I thought that I could do with a very relaxing holiday. I've always seen those big cruise liners and wondered what it would be like to go on one so I booked one with MW. We booked a 9 night South Pacific Cruise with Royal Carribean.

New Shanghai, Sydney CBD

I go through periods where I have serious cravings for dumplings. So I used the opportunity to catch up with a friend, I suggested we go to New Shanghai for dinner. My friend is not as familiar with Chinese cuisine so I happily order for us.

Green Peppercorn, Fairfield

Green Peppercorn is known for delicious Thai food in Fairfield - the original venue. The venue has since expanded into the city. It's quite a large venue in Fairfield but still has a big line on the weekend.
