I think the pandemic has definitely affected most people mentally and emotionally as the lockdown continues in Sydney. As a little treat, I order a few burgers to be delivered from Piccolo Me. Who can resist a tasty burger?

Melted Monster, Potts Point

Melted Monster is a cosy cafe located in Potts Point, a short walk from Kings Cross Station. I pop by with Mr Weekend Food Escapes for some weekend relaxation. Melted Monster is best known for their brunch and burgers, so who's hungry?

Huxtaburger recently celebrated it's first birthday. I head there for some burgs with Mr Weekend Food Escapes and some of my foodie friends. The staff tell me that they have revamped their menu and made alternations following feedback from their customers.

Burgerpalooza, Part 3 - Bar Luca

This Part 3 of Burgerpalooza festival in Parramatta that was held on 21st and 22nd September 2019.  The last burger that I tried was from Bar Luca. Bar Luca has for many years had the reputation for having the best burger in Sydney for their "Blame Canada".  They were at the recent Burgerpalooza with another burger.

Spring weather came out for the Burgerpalooza festival in Parramatta that was held on 21st and 22nd September 2019. The Burgerpalooza festival has been held four years in a row. This is my first though!

Radley's, Sydney Metcentre

Radley's has opened up in Sydney Metcentre for over a year now. It's become a bit of a go-to for some of the folks in my office for lunch or after work drinks. It's been some time since I've come back but I head for some lunch with a friend who also works nearby.

Burwood Hotel, Burwood

Burwood is such a great suburb for tasty food. Matt and I recently have date night at Burwood Hotel. I've seen a lot of posts on instagram about a Boba creme brulee cheesecake dessert and also alcoholic boba bubble tea drinks so I was quite curious to be honest. I also vowed to share my experience with a dear friend of mine who has a fascination with bubble tea drinks.

Point 99, Macquarie Park

Point 99 is located in Macquarie Centre. I've walked past Point 99 so many times and it's never really sparked any interest. It was only after reading a few reviews online about their burgers that I decided to check it out on a whim.

Cheat Day, Peakhurst

Matt and I are not locals to Peakhurst but we decide to check out new venue, Cheat Day. The premise of Cheat Day is that it's set up with a gym themed restaurant with menu items named after famous body builders.

Wood and Smoke, Darlinghurst

Fans of the Rabbit Hole will be big fans of Wood and Smoke in Darlinghurst. The owner has taken the charm of Rabbit Hole and turned this into the new place to be for delicious cocktails and very easy to eat food.

Niko's Kitchen, Dulwich Hill

My food fantasies have come to fruition when Matt and I visit Niko's Kitchen in Dulwich Hill. Niko's Kitchen is located right next to the Dulwich Hill Train Station and is famous for their burgers, gyros and their vegan menu. I was a bit surprised about their vegan menu to be honest but curious at the same time.

Radley's, Sydney CBD

Radley's is now open at Met Centre in Sydney CBD near Wynyard. If you haven't heard of Radley's, their original store is in Chatswood and they are well known for their chicken. I stop by after work to check out their latest venue.

Bare Grill, Surry Hills

Bring your friends and family and get ready to taste one of the most amazing platters in Sydney. Bare Grill in Surry Hills is amazing and now they've pushed their limits even further.

Meat District and Co. King St Wharf, Sydney

What a crazy time it's been from a work and personal perspective! After all the chaos, Matt and I are looking forward to a nice dinner. This particular Friday night, we head to Meat District and Co. on King St Wharf. I think when you typically go to Meat District and Co. you're probably thinking steaks but they also have quite a burger menu.

Ze Pickle, Surry Hills

On a chill Friday night, Matt and I head to Ze Pickle in Surry Hills. There's a huge ZP sign outside in case you miss it. Who's craving a burger?

Radley's, Chatswood (Now closed)

Chatswood is known for it's delicious Asian food. If you are looking for a bit of a break from Asian food then I'd suggest you check out new venue Radley's. The owner, Jason Pope has successfully run a number of venues in Singapore for about 10 years. He is now bringing his wealth of experience and love of food to Sydney.

Butcher and Farmer x Dust, Tramsheds

Tram sheds in Glebe have been all the rage in the last few years and over the xmas and new year break - they've had a number of events on #cheerstothehosts. I stop by for Apertivo hour where there are special cocktail and snacks.

Local Mbassy, Ultimo

Local Mbassy is a cafe in Ultimo which has modern and tasty treats in store. MW and I check it out one Sunday morning to see what all the fuss is about. You should check out their amazing photos on instagram. 

Bettys Burgers, Darling Harbour

The Original Betty's Burgers is an American inspired style kind of burger joint based in Noosa. Betty's Burgers has expanded and is now in Darling Harbour (among other locations).
