New Shanghai in Chatswood typically has massive queues on the weekend so with the covid-19 situation, I was unsure about how many people would be there on this particular Saturday morning. I arrive early and was able to get a table without any waiting when I arrived at about 11:20 am. The restaurant quickly fills and there's a queue before I blink.

Din Tai Fung, Gateway Circular Quay
I have many friends or co-workers who love dumplings. From time to time, I have dumpling dates with my friends. It's just hard to find the time - I head to Din Tai Fung at Gateway for one of my dumpling dates. From the few reviews I've read, this particular Din Tai Fung has lower ratings than other venues.

Greenwood Chinese Restaurant, North Sydney
I head to Greenwood Chinese Restaurant my friend PH. Overall, I have to concur with some of the other reviews that Greenwood Chinese Restaurant is bit more pricey. However I don't know of any other yum cha options in North Sydney. You would have to head into the City or up the north shore. It may be a matter of demand v.s supply.

Mr Stonepot, Eastwood
This is a delayed blog post. I happened to be in Eastwood one afternoon and noticed there's another Mr Stonepot in Eastwood. I have been to the Chatswood Mr Stonepot some months ago. My go to was always Taste of Shanghai in Eastwood but decided to try something new.

Marble St, Macquarie Park
I decide on a quick meal with Matt when we were at Macquarie Centre. Right next to the cinema is Marble St which is a small venue with a few tables. A girl is ahead of me and orders a fruity tea.

New Shanghai, Sydney CBD
I go through periods where I have serious cravings for dumplings. So I used the opportunity to catch up with a friend, I suggested we go to New Shanghai for dinner. My friend is not as familiar with Chinese cuisine so I happily order for us.

District 8, Cabravale Diggers, Cabramatta
If you haven't been to Cabra-vale Diggers for some time, you should come back and check out their new $18 million dollar renovated venue including the brand new spanking dining area called "District 8". I went there for a family meal and was eager to see what has changed.

Din Tai Fung, Westfield Sydney
Din Tai Fung is hard to resist when I'm in the Westfield Pitt St fancy food court. I hadn't been to DTF for a while so I go back to see if the food is still consistently good, tasty and top notch as I remember.

Tim Ho Wan, Burwood
I deliberately waited some time to pass before I checked out Tim Ho Wan. There was mixed results from the reviews that I've read but I wanted to judge for myself.

Chinatown Noodle Restaurant, Bathurst St, Town Hall, Sydney
LOVE THE HAND MADE NOODLES! THEY ARE SO ADDICTIVE. SLURP SLURP. Chinatown Noodle Restaurant is a cheap and cheerful eatery which is really popular. The decore is not great though.
