Kasalong Thai, North Ryde


This is a delayed blog post. On a particularly lazy weeknight, Matt and I decide to go out for some thai. We have decided to check out Kasalong Thai in North Ryde which is located on Cox Rd. We walk up the stairs and are seated.

Bistro Mekong, Castlecrag


Bistro Mekong has recently opened up in Castlecrag. I have been to the sister restaurant Mekong in Chippendale so I'm glad that this delicious venue has now spread its wings. The best way to describe Bistro Mekong is a fusion and melting pot of South East Asian flavours.

Green Peppercorn, Fairfield


Green Peppercorn is known for delicious Thai food in Fairfield - the original venue. The venue has since expanded into the city. It's quite a large venue in Fairfield but still has a big line on the weekend.

In a recent catch up with a group of gals we meet up at Chat Thai in Sydney Westfield. Now I must admit when I order Thai food, I typically order lots of generic dishes like pad thai but as i'm with a group of girls who like to try other dishes - I'm in for a treat and try a bunch of other dishes.

On a particularly stressful Friday lunch, I head to Yoksod for a thai lunch for a $13 with your choice of main and drink (house beer or wine). Yoksod is located within the bar Mr B's which is on the corner of Pitt St and Goulburn St.

Long Kin, Pyrmont


Thai food is such an favourite in Sydney. I absolutely loveee the flavours and often crave my usual pad thai with prawns or a good pad see eww. On a rainy afternoon, Matt and I head to Long Kin in Pyrmont which has a monkey mascot.

Wild Ginger, The Rocks


Wild Ginger is located in the rocks and the actual building has heritage and architecture that is stunning. The building is actually the first of Sydney's commercial hub.The thai restaurant hosts a number of delights to enjoy with a mesh of traditional thai flavours with Australian modern twists.
