Acres Club, Greenacre



Acres Club is located in Greenacre and has been doing Sunday Sessions in March in partnership with Stone and Wood (Mr Weekend Food Escapes loves their beer). There's been a whole lot of action for the kiddies with a jumping castle, playground, face painting and for the adults, an adults only area with games and live music for good vibes. Keep an eye out on their website for upcoming events. I haven't had a drink in about a year so this was where I was going to be reunited with alcohol!

Firepop Meal Kit Review


For the last 14 years, Firepop is usually a pop up restaurant appearing across Sydney.  Given the Corona restrictions, they have now expanded their business and are now offering meal kits so you can make your own Firepops at home.

GBG Korean BBQ, West Ryde





Korean BBQ is such a great experience, for me - I love eating all the sides, the smell from the sizzling meat and also the social setting with friends or family. There's a new Korean BBQ in West Ryde called  Gyeong Bok Gung (Or you can call it GBG).

Mr Weekend Food Escapes is a big Korean BBQ fan. While this institution has been around for yonks, it's our first time at Madang Korean BBQ. We are invited here as part of a Hungry Diner event. Tonight, it's a big group event so there's a lot of fun mixed with some chaos.

Boilmaker's Dinner at All Hands Brewing House, Kings St Wharf, Sydney



Husband and I recently attended a special event at The All Hands Brewing House. It was called the Boilmaker Dinner on the 18th September 2019 which had a 4 course meal which was paired with beers and whiskey. Sounds good? Let me tell you more.

Burwood Hotel, Burwood


Burwood is such a great suburb for tasty food. Matt and I recently have date night at Burwood Hotel. I've seen a lot of posts on instagram about a Boba creme brulee cheesecake dessert and also alcoholic boba bubble tea drinks so I was quite curious to be honest. I also vowed to share my experience with a dear friend of mine who has a fascination with bubble tea drinks.

I recently had dinner with my foodie friend Jackie from Does my bomb look big in this. We head to Jang Ba Tal which has two locations in Strathfield and Sydney CBD. We head to Sydney CBD location by entering the lift on Liverpool st, not too far from World Square.

Matt and I often walk along Cockle Bay Wharf and on this particular Saturday, we visit Hunter and Barrel in Darling Harbour. As I walked along Pyrmont Bridge, I couldn't help but appreciate how beautiful Sydney is. I love Sydney!

Matt loves Churrasco. We head to Churrasco in Coogee for a nice meaty lunch. For those who don't know what Churrasco is, it's a South American term referring to lots of grilled meat! For $43 you can have unlimited barbeque meats, salads, vegetables and sides.

Vic's Meat Market, Pyrmont


Weekend Food Escapes in particular Matt are MASSIVE fans of Vic's Meat Market. So when I recently found out they are open Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with a new menu. I had to get there immediately! Woop Wooppp! Matt was looking forward to this all week when I told him we would be heading here on this particular Friday night.
