Bones and Smoke is an American BBQ restaurant that is health conscious. There's no seed oils used which is fantastic.
Bones and Smoke is located in Bondi and is a short walk away from the Westfields. Chef Vinnie was previously in the Central Coast and he's been perfecting his cooking style for his eager patrons.
Bones and Smoke is a cosy little restaurant so you may have to book to secure a table.
What I really like about the menu is that you can create your own American BBQ platter. Whether you prefer to have more beef cheeks, sausage or sides, you can build it by the gram.
Alternatively, you can get everything via the Adventure Board. All the meats have a nice smokey flavour, I tasted the
- Dry Aged Pork Yowl - rich and smokey pork
- Pulled Porl - Slow-smoked shoulder
- Baby Pork Ribs - Tender and Sticky
- 48-hour smoked brisket - long smoked
- Wild Boar Fillet - Gamey, smokey, buttery
- Beef Cheeks - slow cooked
Mr Weekend Food Escapes is in heaven! He devours all the meats and really enjoys the flavour. My favourite is the beef cheeks which is also topped with a nice BBQ sauce.
On the menu are also a hot dog range. When you can't decide, I recommend "The Big Boy". It has a bit of everything including brisket, kranski, pulled pork, mac and cheese on a bun. It was very tasty and loaded!

Summary: Check chef Vinnie and his great BBQ restaurant in Bondi. Create a small or huge American BBQ platter. Be sure to check out the hot dogs and that crocodile dish too!
