The Lobby Cafe, Mascot

I am fortunate enough to enjoy the day off work and I catch up with my little brother over some breakfast at The Lobby Cafe in Mascot. My brother is in a very chatty mood but I can't seem to focus as I'm hungry.

The Lobby Cafe is located at the bottom of a corporate building. The Lobby Cafe has new owners and they are revamping the joint. They've got options of make your own salads and sandwiches which they are looking to take online via an app.

I settle into my usual Chai Latte which is the perfect hot drink to warm up my soul before I can properly listen to my brother. He goes for a green juice as he's all in health mode for the City to Surf coming up. He's been running around Sydney. I notice a buzz of office workers as well as construction workers walk in and out of the cafe.

I order the omelette ($12.50) where you can choose the three fillings. I go for spinach, tomato and onion and it's serve up with some toast. I like the little touches of the pomergranate on top. There's something really nourishing about a well cooked omelette. This one is cooked well and is fluffy and strong enough to hold the filling.

I saw was the Vegetarian Brekkie Wrap ($8.50) so I ordered this one and shared with my brother. This wrap has scrambled eggs, hashbrown, mushroom, tomato and feta. I really enjoyed the breakfast wrap and my vegetarian brother was a big fan as well. What really brings the wrap together is that hash brown that has crispy textures which contrast with the egg, soft tomato and mushroom. Delicious!

Finally, my brother ops for the Vegetarian Burger ($9.50) which has avocado, halloumi on a stack of zucchini, eggplant, tomato and capsicum. What a healthy way to consume a burger! My brother gives it the two thumbs up and says it's really filling and satisfying.

My brother continues to chat away and I tell him I am getting older and need some peace and quiet.

Summary: Overall the Lobby Cafe is a nice cafe with breakfast and lunch options. I really enjoyed the breakfast wrap and the omelette! There's lots of people queuing up for coffee there as well so it looks very promising if you are in Mascot during the week days. Enjoy!
