Bottomless Brunch, Bella Vista Hotel, Bella Vista

For those who live in the Hills District, did you hear that the Bella Vista Hotel is now hosting Bottomless Brunches on the weekend? Matt and I head to the hills to check it out. Matt and I both love a tasty cocktail.

For $55 per person, you can get a shared brunch set (with a coffee, tea or juice) or you can upgrade and it will cost you $75 for bottomless cocktails with the shared brunch set (although you need at least 4 people to book this).

I'm not sure if I've ever spend $55 on brunch as this seems a bit excessive but let's see what you get for your dollar!

The shared brunch includes:

  • Freshly baked rosemary flat bread with hummus and pressed yoghurt
  • A breakfast platter with poached eggs, bacon, chorizo, asparagus and avocado
  • An antipasto plate with cured meats, roasted vegetables, cheese and olives
  • A plate of seasonal fruits
  • Pastries
In terms of the cocktails with the upgrade, you are served a white sangria carafe on arrival with the option to choose from the other cocktails including the hills, espresso martini, the grape gatsby and the lotus.

Matt and I order the Hills cocktail and also the lotus. The cocktails are typically $18 so the upgrade is worthwhile if you have more than one cocktail. The Hills cocktail is made with vodka, malibu and lychee.  I couldn't find a description of the lotus but both cocktails were really well made and were very refreshing to drink. Both cocktails were chill, fruity and very easy to drink. I love a tasty cocktail. Cheers to the bar tender.

The brunch spread in one photo is below for Matt and I. There is a nice spread and variety of food but I wondered if it was for value. I don't think Matt and I would normally spend $110 on breakfast even if we ordered several dishes.

The shared brunch comes out on several plates. The antipasto plate has several cured meats with roasted eggplant and zucchini and what looks like goat's cheese. I snack on the olives and roasted vegetables while Matt eats most of the cured meats.

Matt eats the sausages, bacon and eggs with avocado on the toast. I focus more on the asparagus, avocado and poached egg as I try to be healthier in 2019. Matt says he enjoys the hot breakfast plate of the platter. We also feast on some fresh fruit and Matt devours the pastries.

Summary: So overall, brunch was pleasant and those cocktails are super tasty! I think you just have to decide whether $75 is worth the cost of all the food and cocktails. It probably depends on how much you drink.

The cocktails are well paced to ensure responsible drinking so enjoy my friends!
