WARNING! YOU MIGHT HAVE TO QUEUE ON THE WEEKEND! PATIENCE REQUIRED. The western suburbs have definitely lifted their game in terms of cafe quality. I check out Paper Plane Cafe in Parramatta and see how it measures up. Thanks to Instagram buddy @DJTarek for the suggestion.
Paper Plane cafe seems to be quite busy with a queue and waiting list as I arrive at about 11am on the weekend. As it's quite busy, the staff are lovely but seem a bit stretched and mix up my drink order but it's quickly rectified.
The top photo is the big breakfast which has fried sunny eggs, bacon, chorizo, hash brown, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach and toast ($19.50, top photo). My chai latte was decent (below). The chocolate milkshake was good but would have been great with a bit more chocolate sauce.
The below is the Salmon Benny ($14.00, below) where I requested the hollandaise sauce to be put to the side. This dish has smoked salmon and poached eggs on toast. The menu also said there would be wilted spinach but there was none with this dish.
Highlights: Both the big breakfast and the sunny benny were really tasty and nice. I think Paper Plane has done really well to attract such a large customer base who are willing to wait for good food. I'd recommend both dishes.
Suggested Improvements: Amend dish/menu so it's accurate and meets expectations. Other than that, if you come here you may need some patience as it seems to be very popular.
