Pho Thanh Y, Sydney CBD

FOOD COURT EATS near Town Hall. How does Pho Thanh Y stack up?

Pho Thanh Y is located in the food court in Town Hall @ 580 George st, across from KFC. It's a hole in the wall and you order from a little counter.

Most of the items are $12 and seem quite authentically Vietnamese. It's not fusion Vietnamese which is good! I'm looking forward to a nice traditional meal.

Below is the Beef Pho (noodle soup, top photo and below photo, $12). It's topped with a lot of bean sprouts and you can add chilli if you like.

I also order the spring roll vermicelli noodle salad (below, $12)

Highlights: Both dishes were quite delicious for food court standards. The Pho is a very generous portion so it should satisfy you. The Spring Rolls are F*&king crunchy which I like

Development areas: You don't get access to a full plate of thai basil, lemon/lime and chilli like you do at a Vietnamese restaurant. The noodles are cut, I prefer mine long so I can slurp them.

Location: Food Court, 580 George St, Sydney
