WHAT A TURKISH DELIGHT!!!! Hakiki Turkish Ice Cream and Baklava has made a bit of a name for themselves in Enmore.
On a bit of a walk about in Enmore and Newtown, my friends wanted to check out that "great Turkish ice cream place". I had read great things about Hakiki Turkish Ice Cream and Baklava about demonstrations of them stretching out the ice cream.
The ice cream flavours have a Turkish twist like Turkish Delight or Turkish Coffee but they also have more common favourite flavours as well like chocolate lava or an orange and mango sorbet. I am excited and I try a bunch of different flavours.
Overwhelmed with choice, I settle on a classic Burnt Caramel scoop ($4). The texture of of the ice cream is amazingly delicious and creamy. The caramel flavours dance on my tongue and I think texture is a bit stretchy which makes it fun to scoop onto the tongue.
My friend goes for choc cherry flavour ($4) and is very happy; he basically devours this in a minute. The ice cream miraculously disappears. He tells me the chocolate flavour is nice and sweet. My other friend agrees that this is really nice ice cream.
We'll all have to come back! There's a few seats inside but I opt for a stool outside. Yummo.
