Tom's Calvary, Rhodes

Tom's Calvary is located on the bottom floor of the Rhodes Shopping Centre and is very popular.
There's an arrange of burgers and rolls at Tom's Calvary. I hadn't noticed this place as I tend to head to the food court generally upstairs. However on this day, I noticed a bit of a line of office workers ordering rolls and rice paper rolls.

I don't mind a good Vietnamese pork roll (which seems to be very popular) but I prefer a nice vietnamese chicken roll. The description portrayed this to be a traditional vietnamese roll with chicken, coriander, pate, soy sauce, pickled carrot, cucumber, tomato and soy sauce ($6).

The bread on the roll is very crunchy and crusty. The chicken roll is a more westernised version than the traditional kind in comparison but it's a solid sandwich for lunch. The ingredients on display in the banh mi section look very fresh with huge mountains of carrot, lettuce and other ingredients. The chicken is a bit more peppery than anticipated and there is an absence of the ingredients as described on the menu.

So check it out if you're looking for a roll or sandwich for lunch. Perhaps alter your expectations if you are looking for a traditional chicken roll. Still a nice sandwich otherwise.
