With high ceilings, soft lighting and chandeliers; it's easy to see why the team room is a popular location for high tea or a wedding. I head over to the Team Room in QVB with a group of my work colleagues for a nice lunch.
I order the roast salmon with giant rice noodle roll and asian greens. The salmon is perfectly cooked and complements the soy lightly flavoured rice noodle roll. The skin on the salmon is also crispy which is how I like it. The meal is light and tasty. I would definitely recommend this dish.
The most ordered dish at our table was the char grilled beef sirloin with dauphinoise potato and green beans with a lemon butter sauce. It looks amazing and is cooked perfectly pink in the middle. This is a definite recommend.
The baked chicken breast with roast pumpkin and salad is a homely dish which is also enjoyed. So far all the mains are absolutely flawless.
For dessert, the pav looked amazing but didn't quite get many fans. The meringue was too hard and the dish lacked moisture. The other desserts were amazing, the lemon tart had a sugar burnt topping which added texture and additional taste to the dish. A definite recommend along with the creme brulee which had the perfect hard crack and warm custard to tickle the senses. The accompanying biscotti makes it the perfect dessert.
It was such a nice lunch and everyone had such a great time. Thanks to my colleague Cara for organising this group lunch! I'd definitely come back.
