GBG Korean BBQ, West Ryde

Korean BBQ is such a great experience, for me - I love eating all the sides, the smell from the sizzling meat and also the social setting with friends or family. There's a new Korean BBQ in West Ryde called  Gyeong Bok Gung (Or you can call it GBG).

There are many Korean BBQ restaurants in West Ryde and nearby suburb Eastwood. I have often gone to Stoneage and the Barn several times before so I thought I'd check out Mapo Charcoal BBQ for the first time for something different.

Tatsuya, West Ryde - Revisit

After living in West Ryde for almost 10 years, I used to be a regular at Tatsuya which is a Japanese eatery located beside a carwash. Now that I have moved away, I don't come here as regularly but I come back to see if the consistency has changed.

It's been some time since I've been to Moeru but I have to say it's growing on me. Moeru is a casual Japanese restaurant located across the road from West Ryde Station.

The Barn Korean BBQ, West Ryde

Matt absolutely loves Korean BBQ and we decide to check out our local "The Barn" which is right across from West Ryde Station. As I walk in on a cold winter night, the room looks quite smokey. That's the one thing I dislike about Korean BBQ - the fact that you smell like meat afterwards. Matt seems to like this effect on the other hand.

Stoneage Korean BBQ, West Ryde

Korean BBQ is big business in Eastwood and in recent times has spread to West Ryde. Stoneage Korea BBQ seems to be very popular so I head there for a local eat.
