Famous for their Roti, check out PappaRich in Parramatta
Pappa Rich has really done well to break into the Sydney scene. With 4 stores in Chatswood, Broadway, Parramatta and Macquarie; they all seem like very popular eateries. The Parramatta franchaise deserves its 73% like rate on urbanspoon which is a higher like rate than the other locations.
You often see long lines of people waiting to enjoy the Malaysian delights in Parramatta. Pappa Rich located along Argyle St in Parramatta which is where the big bus interchange is. It's quite reasonably priced for big flavours and generous portions.
The menu is quite extensive and you may find yourself a bit lost in the dilemma of too many options! I ordered the Roti Telur Bawang with Curry Chicken (Above, $12.90) which was served on a large silver tray plate. The Roti is cooked with egg and onion. You have the curry chicken with sides of a hot sauce and a milder sauce. The meal is wholesome with very bold Malaysian flavours.
Similarly the Roti Telur Bewang with Beef Rendang ($13.90, above) was very homely and tasty. The curry chicken and beef rendang are often very popular dishes and were very easy to enjoy. These dishes are great for a casual eat.
My friend ordered the Pappa Char Koay Teow which consists of Wok fried noodles with prawns, eggs and bean sprouts. It was a solid dish however I would suggest you stick to the dishes that PappaRich are known for - the beautiful dishes with Roti! Check it out if you can get there early... to queue up and hope for the best.
