The powerhouse that is known as Adriano Zumbo continues incredible success with six different locations. At a visit to the star city fancy food court, I could not resist buying a treat at Adriano Zumbo. The dessert train is retired but amazing looking treats were awaiting.
For a decadent "sometimes" treat, I opted for the "wheely good praline". Although I had a hard time choosing from the many other delights below. Adriano Zumbo at the star has a like rate of 78% which is well deserved.
Like all other Zumbo desserts, there is generally a lot of complex components and textures. A layered cake or "Dacquoise" had all sorts of wonderful elements of hazelnut. Two flat and round chocolate circles encase soft hazelnut mousse and are covered in hazelnuts. It was hazelnut heaven.
So if you are in the neighbourhood of Pyrmont and looking for a cheeky dessert, stop by the fancy food court for some Adriano Zumbo. It is in a food court so if you are looking to impress someone on a date then I'd suggest one of their other locations or take one away to surprise a loved one.
Prices: Most desserts are around the $10 mark. For a more savoury treat, you may opt for one of their bakery treats.
