Oriental Dumpling King is located in Eating World food court in Chinatown and boasts of many delicious dumplings. Above are the pork dumplings drizzled in chili oil and topped with spring onion and sesame seeds. The skin of the dumpling is silky smooth and makes it abit slippery to pick up the dumplings but they are oh so tasty. These dumplings are my favourite!
A crowd favourite is always the Xiao Long Bao (above) which are soup filled dumplings. They are perfect for making your insides all warm. I dunk them in my usual mix of soy and vinegar sauce. The skin is thin and a small dose of soup bursts in my mouth.
The third dumpling dish is served up in a pile of boiled pork dumplings. The skin is nice and doughy which encases the pork filling. I start to become full but my work colleague powers on and demolishes the last of the Xiao Long Bao and the boiled dumplings. I don't think I've had a more satisfying food court experience. The dumplings are perfectly cooked and are not oily at all.
Prices: $10ish per dumpling dish. I encourage you to share the dumplings with a group of people.
