Spring weather came out for the Burgerpalooza festival in Parramatta that was held on 21st and 22nd September 2019. The Burgerpalooza festival has been held four years in a row. This is my first though!
I head to Prince Alfred Square Park in Parramatta. I went to school in Parramatta so it feels slightly nostalgic being back in the hood. After getting a drink, hubby and I head straight for the burger stands. All the burgers are $12 at the festival.
I naturally head to one of the stands which is a collab between Birdman and Jimmy's Burgers. Their burger today is the "hot cheetos chicken sambo". It sounds delicious with the cheetos fried chicken, pickles, jalapenos, ranch, crushed cheetos hot puffs on a brioche bun. The bun is ultra soft as I bite into the chicken burger. I enjoy the bright red crunchy skin along with the slightly sour pickles. It's a delicious burger.
My hubby goes for the collab between Fireball X Blackbear and their burger "Flamin' Piggy". It has pulled pork, apple slaw, crackling skewer on a milk bun. The burger comes out cold so it's not as enjoyable to eat. The pork also tasted slightly over cooked. I think this burger has a lot of potential but unfortunately execution fell over on this occasion.
