Butcher and Farmer, Meadowbank

I've been part of the Food Critics and Bloggers Association (FCBA) for a number of years and so when their 4th year anniversary came up - I was excited to celebrate with the fellow community at venue Butcher and Farmer in Meadowbank.
Butcher and Farmer is most well known for their Glebe Tramshed venue however they now have opened up in Meadowbank in a huge space.  It's surrounded by many apartment buildings.

As I arrive, I see the venue being beautifully decorated by the FCBA crew who do this all in their own time (it's a not for profit organisation). It looks so beautifully decked out.

I soak up a glass of rose from Millon Wines (one of the event's sponsors) and start chatting away to my fellow foodies. It's always really lovely chatting to those who are part of FCBA and also meeting new people.

There are a number of platters that come out with bread, pickles, cured meats and dip. In the centre of the platter, there is a creamy burrata which is delicious. It's quite hard taking photos with so many people at the event but I manage to grab a piece of bread and some burrata. I make a mental note to come back.

There's also a bowl of creamy avocado and pea with blue corn tortilla chips which seems to be popular and disappears quite quickly.

There's also a number of pizza dishes and pasta dishes on the menu.  I manage to grab a slice of the Garlic Prawn Pizza ($21) which has a tomato base, prawns, cherry tomatoes, fennel, garlic, chilli, fior di latte and basil pesto. The pizza base is really well balanced which has a thin base so the toppings are prominent and there's a nice crunch.

The FCBA community have also brought a number of items to donate to ozharvest which is their charity partner. What a fantastic outcome.

My apologies for the brief food post - I didn't get to taste the food properly. It disappeared quickly but I do note that everyone thought it was tasty. I had lots of fun! Happy 4th anniversary FCBA!
